SEMA owns several pieces of very specialized equipment equipped with a hi-rail system which enables it to traverse railway tracks in order to access remote locations. In order to ensure that our work is accomplished safely and efficiently, SEMA has invested in the equipment required to get the job done. Whether it be a hi-rail inspection truck (Bridge Inspection Vehicle or “snooper”), hi-rail trucks, boom trucks, cranes, or excavators, we are well equipped to work on the rails. We have also designed and built custom equipment to meet particular needs including a hi-rail concrete batch plant that allows us to batch concrete to a CSA spec hundreds of miles away from the nearest redi-mix plant. Regular equipment on rubber tires or tracks are of limited use when working on track.
