SEMA’s core competence is the construction of structures. We build new bridges, we rehabilitate or repair existing bridges. Our forte has always been railway structures. SEMA prides itself in having the people, the equipment, and the know-how to properly execute a given project successfully for our various railway clients.
Railways bring with them their own unique set of unique requirements and the need for understanding how the railway works. Road bridge builders simply do not have the requisite equipment, or experience dealing with the constraints of the railway to successfully build railway structures without impacting operations. SEMA prides itself on being able to come up with unique construction methodology solutions that help to reduce cost, bring a project in on time and budget, and maintain rail operations throughout the construction.
Our structural capabilities include:
- Steel structures
- Concrete structures
- Timber structures
- Culverts (steel, concrete, timber, plastic, lining)
- Retaining structures
