The Marten Creek bridge is situated along the Ontario Northland Railway corridor between North Bay and Temagami Ontario. The original bridge is a single span HTPG (Half Through Plate Girder) constructed in 1910 which was found to be in very poor condition due to cracking of the steel superstructure.

Groupe le Massif - Charlevoix Railway
In late 2008 SEMA was one of three Construction firms invited to submit proposals to rehabilitate the existing track between Quebec City and Clermont (approximately 92 miles to the east). The track had recently been purchased by le Groupe Le Massif (the ski resort) located in Baie St. Paul area about 55 miles to the east of Quebec City along the shores of the St. Lawrence in the heart of the picturesque Charlevoix Region of Quebec. Quebec Iron and Titanium Corp. – Tower Replacement
To the best of our knowledge, the bridge at North Romaine River Mile 5.80 is the only cable stayed rail carrying bridge in Canada. In December 2007 a train carrying a crane smashed into the tower due to excess height of the crane on the flat car. The result was that the original tower was crippled beyond repair (see photo top left). SEMA was contacted by the owner (QIT) and requested to provide immediate repairs since the line was heavily utilized in the shipment of iron ore from the mine to the processing
